Get Comfortable with Uncomfortable

weight-lifting-300x297If you think you are working hard during your workouts, when you start your next one, focus on trying a little harder. Hold nothing back! Exercise your mental as well as physical strength. Experience what it feels like to really let loose and push harder than you ever have. In a phrase, get “comfortable” with being “uncomfortable” When you can do this on a regular bass, your Fitness goals will topple more quickly than you ever imagined…

This is the focus on my latest workout system. I am following the ChaLEAN Extreme 12-week program. Trainer, Chalene Johnson really wants users to push harder and try to lift heavier than they have in the past. This does not mean to be unsafe or push past your limits, but to work too your limits within 10-12 reps. In only a few weeks, I am seeing tremendous results in my muscle definition and strength.

What else I like about this program is although it has “extreme” in the name, it is really for all levels. It gives EVERYONE a chance to push themselves just a little harder. There are participants in the videos lifting from 3 pounds to 50 so there is a complete range. In addition, there is a woman who is 60 and is using resistance bands instead of weights.

Muscles are the new fountain of youth. They keep you young, strong and healthy. You will not bulk up. You will get lean and strong.

I’ve read wonderful reviews on this program. I really enjoy the gym. At home I’m just not sure I would exercise. But going to the gym, I’m out the door every day.
